Argentina: A robbery attempt failed. The millions of bills that were scattered in the streets – were collected by the residents

by time news

A video in which dozens of Buenos Aires residents were recorded collecting money scattered in the streets – has gone viral.

The video has so far received over a million views on social networks in Argentina and worldwide. It all started last Friday, when one of the residents of the neighborhood was on his way to a local bank with a backpack with 7 million pesos on his back.

It is still unclear how the robber who tried to steal the backpack discovered it in broad daylight.

The robbed adamantly refused to hand over the bag, and decided to fight with the robber until Horma, over the bag – which apparently contained his hard work for the past six months. During the scuffle between them, the bag was torn, and the bills were scattered everywhere, causing the dozens of residents who were there to rush in the direction and collect the money.

Real chaos ensued, and some citizens rushed to report the incident to the police – but the robber ‘fled’ from there, fearing that he might find himself behind bars. At one point, one of the people offered to help him collect the money, but this person also did not resist the temptation, and took dozens of bills for himself, which he stuffed into his bag without the robber noticing.

In the end, the man arrived at the bank with 70 thousand (!) pesos missing from his check, from the amount he had at the beginning.

“He’s lucky that it’s only a few thousand,” commented several people on the network, under the pretext that he could have found himself completely destitute, and that he was lucky that there were also good people there who were willing to help him.

“It’s heartwarming to know that there are still good people,” wrote another surfer, who found herself ‘attacked’ by quite a few other surfers who claimed that if they were really good people, they shouldn’t have taken anything for themselves. “Why not?” wrote someone else in a completely delusional response. “It’s a hassle tax for helping him collect the money.”
