The plane of the Argentine world champions landed in Argentina, returning from the World Cup in Qatar on the night of Tuesday, December 20. The players immediately traveled by double-decker bus to their training center to spend the night there. The bus was decorated with the colors of the victorious team, flocked with the three stars of the three World Cups won by Argentina.
A large cordon of police ensured the safety and speed of the journey. Thousands of Argentinian fans crowded around the airport to cheer on the players. Tuesday has been declared a holiday. Republic Square in Buenos Aires was already full of supporters on Tuesday morning.
