Gavi told COPE. I understand it's not a good image for children, but I think there's also that side to football, which is a bit more physical, more aggressive.
He added that the most logical action would have been to send Paredes off during the match.
FIFA has appointed a disciplinary and ethics prosecutor to assess the incidents, with potential suspensions for players and fines for the Argentine Football Association. Paredes, along with defenders Nahuel Molina and Thiago Almada, was involved in the fracas, which also included Molina allegedly punching Spain captain Rodri.

De la Fuente reflected on Spain’s path to the title, highlighting the physical and mental challenges of the tournament. It has been 24,000 kilometres, humidity, little rest… All of that process, beyond the opponents, is what you have to overcome,
he said. He praised his team’s resilience, particularly midfielder Rodri, whom he called an insult to footballing intelligence
to doubt.
The coach also commended young star Lamine Yamal, noting his maturity and willingness to sacrifice for the team. Looking ahead, de la Fuente expressed pride in leading Spain, stating that managing the 2030 World Cup would be the greatest source of pride for any coach.
However, he emphasized his focus on immediate fixtures in September and October.
