The young cyber company Argon from Israel, which develops security products for supply chains in software development processes, was today acquired by the Israeli Aqua Security as well (Aqua Security) for an estimated amount of several tens of millions of dollars. Following the acquisition, 30 employees of the Aqua Security organization will join. Prior to the acquisition, the company raised $ 4 million in a lime round last March.
An organization has developed technology to protect the software supply chain that enables connection to existing DevOps platforms used by companies to build and release software versions to the world. Through the company’s product it is possible to map and produce a smart prioritization of the most vulnerable points in the process. The company has also developed technology that makes it possible to detect and prevent malicious changes to a code in the procedures for its distribution and updating.
The organization was founded about a year ago by CEO Elon Elhadad and Ilam Milner. Became a unicorn with an estimated value of about $ 1 billion.
Dror Davidoff, CEO and co-founder of Aqua Security, commented on the acquisition and said: “With the addition of an organization’s product to Aqua’s platform, we continue to realize our vision to protect the full lifecycle of applications built to run in cloud environments.”
