LA RIOJA, Argentina – Artists inspired by the work of poet Ariel Ferraro are invited to submit their creations to an illustrated poem contest commemorating his centenary.

Artists across Argentina’s Northwest can submit illustrated poems by Sept. 5, 2025.

The Undersecretariat of Art and Creativity in La Rioja, through its Directorate of Visual Arts, is hosting the “Illustrated poem contest Ariel Ferraro.”

• Artists 16 and older are eligible.
• Participants must be born or reside in Argentina’s NOA provinces.

However, current officials or employees of the Ministry of Cultures of La Rioja, along with their immediate family or those linked through scholarships or contracts, are not permitted to enter.

Each participant or pair of participants can submit up to two entries.Every submission must comprise a new poem that directly references or draws inspiration from ariel Ferraro’s poetic works. This poem must be paired with an original illustration that complements, modifies, or integrates with the written piece, forming a cohesive artistic whole.
