Among the other slogans and signs they waved, the workers chanted: “No, no, it’s not pleasant to work here without conditions”, “Without workers, there are no achievements” and “We are equal”.

According to a senior official at Unbarista: “The administrative staff is carrying out sanctions because the conditions of the workers are indeed unsatisfactory.”

Hamda Hadi, Chairman of the Executive Staff Committee: “The employees of the administrative staff of Ariel University request a comparison of conditions to employees at other universities. The acceptance of our university into the LORE (Committee of University Heads), only strengthens our position. The employees of the administrative staff worked hard to turn the institution into a university and we know that the management understands and sees the reality as we do. The university administration must enter into quick negotiations with us to find solutions. It is forbidden for the wages of the workers to be wasted.”
