Tollywood veteran director Arindam Sheel has been accused of misogyny. A woman actress approached the ‘Women’s Commission’ alleging indecent behavior against this director. As a result, the Directors Guild expelled Arindam Sheel. This notice has been sent to Arindam Sheel via e-mail. His membership in the Directors Guild is 193, according to local media.

Several actresses have been accusing Arindam Sheel of indecent behavior for the past few years. But time and again those allegations have been reported as false by the ‘Directors Association of Eastern India’. This time the director has been suspended for an indefinite period.
Director’s Guild president Subrata Sen said that steps have been taken to suspend Arindam Sheel with the consent of the concerned. From the day he gets the ‘innocent’ certificate, he can resume work as before.
In this context, Swastika posted a letter written by Arindam Sheel on social media. In which the director wrote, ‘Sincerely sorry about the complaint made by artiste (name implied) about my relationship with the Women’s Commission. I admit my mistake and express my sincere regret.’
In the letter, the director apologized for causing emotional and family pain to the victim.
