Ensenada BC.- Within the framework of the celebrations for the 213th anniversary of the Independence of Mexicothe Government of Ensenada unveiled in the Musician’s Square a bust of Jorge Negrete, one of the greatest exponents of vernacular music and actor from the golden age of Mexican cinema.

Mayor Armando Ayala Robles thanked the presence of Lorenzo Negretegrandson of “Charro Cantor”, in this tribute carried out at the request of local associations of singers, composers and musicians.

He specified that one of the objectives of his administration is to strengthen roots and the sense of belonging, so that new generations know, preserve and transmit Mexican traditions, among them, the legacy of great exponents of ranchera music.
