During the operation in Karabakh on September 19-20, Azerbaijan detained not only 9 former and current separatist leaders, but at least 16 people.
The Armenian service of RFE/RL – Azatutyun writes that this is the head of the Armenian Investigative Committee Argishti Karamian said:
“Among those detained are persons who do not hold high positions. The arrest of these people has been confirmed.”
Although Karamyan did not reveal who the conversation was about, Azatutyun is one of them Melikset Paşayan was able to find out.
The report says that Pashayan lived in Sznek village of Karabakh (Azerbaijani variant – Ashaghi Yemishjan, village in Gizyloba village administrative territorial district of Khojaly district – red).
Azatutyun writes that he went missing while helping to evacuate the elderly and sick. Pashayan’s wife said that her husband is in prison in Baku and she informed about it by phone.
