On December 5, Armen Hayrapetyan, the head of the RA Food Safety Inspection Authority, and Sergey Dankvert, the head of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Control Service of the Russian Federation, met in Moscow. The negotiations took place over the problems that arose in the last few days in the process of importing phytosanitary control cargo exported from Armenia to Russia.

Armen Hayrapetyan noted that all complex control measures are being implemented consistently to prevent the delivery of cargo to Russia with violations. He guaranteed greater transparency and reliability of phytosanitary certification of exported products to ensure traceability and safety of supplied products.

Sergey Dankwert assured that the RF department shows the same attitude during the monitoring of any vegetable products entering Russia and takes adequate measures for each detected violation, regardless of the sending country.

During the meeting, the problem of resuming the supply of products of the enterprises producing dairy products in Armenia to Russia was also discussed. An agreement was reached on joint control measures, the exact dates of which will be specified in the working order.

The parties agreed to improve communication between departments in order to solve the emerging problems at the expert level as quickly as possible.
