76-year-old Arnold Schwarzenegger is a former hero of Hollywood who has millions of fans all over the world including India.

Arnold, who was born in Austria and lives in America, also served as the governor of the state of California. Many of his films have collected collections worldwide.

Aspiring to become a professional bodybuilder since the age of 15, Arnold attracted the youth by showing off a number of grueling workouts.

Attending an environmental event in Austria, Arnold auctioned off his used items to donate the proceeds to environmental and seasonal issues.

Yesterday, he landed at Munich International Airport in Germany from Los Angeles as per the itinerary.

Munich is the main city in South East Germany.

Customs officials, who searched Arnold’s belongings, discovered that he had a wristwatch that was not on the list of possessions.

The watch, specially designed for Arnold by Swiss watchmaker Audemars Piguet, is worth around Rs 23 lakh (26,000 Euros).

Airport officials said, “It is the rule that passengers must be informed in advance of any foreign item being brought into Europe. No matter who it is, there is no change in this rule.”

The customs officials, who refused to accept Arnold’s explanation that he was transporting it to the auction, fined him 35,000 euros. Arnold, who offered to pay by credit card, was forced to pay half of the amount in foreign currency, so Arnold went to the bank and took the money.

As per customs rules, bank officials also accompanied him.

After paying the fine, Arnold was allowed to continue the journey.

Due to this, his journey was delayed at Munich airport for about 4 hours.
