Lubumbashi, April 21, 2023 (ACP).- The Congolese National Police (PNC) arrested on Friday during the day on the avenues of La Digue, Moba and Mission in the commune of Kenya in Lubumbashi, province of Haut Katanga, in the Democratic Republic of Congo, about thirty bandits armed with bladed weapons, in particular machetes, who claim to be militants of political parties in the midst of an operation to loot shops, round up telephones and other valuables.

« All outlaws must be tracked down, arrested and brought before the judicial authorities of the city of Lubumbashi said the provincial Minister of the Interior, Security and Customary Affairs of Haut Katanga, Eric Muta Ndala, who personally led an expedition to this commune in the company of the local Congolese National Police.

The provincial minister and the population of this commune praised the professionalism of the law enforcement officers who achieved this feat without gunshots. Eric Muta Ndala asked the population of the said commune to peacefully go about their business and assured that the provincial governor is determined to strengthen security across the province of Haut Katanga.
