According to information made public this Friday, February 16, 2024 by the public prosecutor at the court of first instance of Labé, last Wednesday, February 14, 22 people including three women were arrested in Bade-seka, a sector falling under the Madina district, in the urban commune of Labé, by Bac 19. According to the emperor of prosecution, these people are accused of sale and consumption of drugs, theft and violence against citizens. Already, the accused are being interviewed at the regional directorate of the judicial police, while waiting to be placed under arrest warrant.

“I received information according to which, in the Badé-Saké sector, Madina district, there were bandit nests. Young people met late at night in the market to commit various offenses such as theft and violence against passers-by and peaceful citizens. It was also a place where drugs were used. So I directly instructed the anti-crime brigade and the regional police security directorate to arrest anyone linked to the commission of these offenses. 22 people were arrested. As I speak to you, they are all before the judicial police officers of the regional police directorate, for investigation purposes. There appear to be three women in the group. If found guilty by the court, they will be sentenced. As long as I am in Labé, anyone who is convicted will serve their sentence in full,” promises Maurice Onivogui.
