New Delhi police apprehended three individuals, including the primary suspect Shahnawaz, who was sought after by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), for his alleged association with the notorious IS terrorist organization.
Originating from New Delhi, Shahnawaz, a qualified engineer, had been residing in Pune, Maharashtra, until authorities discovered his communication with the terror group.
Consequently, NIA officers conducted a raid last July in Pune, resulting in the arrest of Shahnawaz’s two alleged accomplices connected to an IS-related case based in Pune. Upon learning of his associates’ capture, Shahnawaz fled to New Delhi, where he hid from law enforcement.
