Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has issued an arrest warrant against Imran Khan, former Prime Minister of Pakistan. The warrant was issued by Margalla Police Station Magistrate Rana Mujahid Rahim. The action was taken in a case registered on August 20 after he made a controversial remark against Sessions Judge Seba Chaudhary.

The arrest warrant has been issued after Imran Khan submitted an affidavit in the Islamabad High Court in connection with the contempt of court case. In the affidavit, Imran Khan had said that he stands by what he said in the court during the most recent trial.

Imran was cut off because he raised a threatening tone in his speech against the Sessions Judge. Then a case was registered on the grounds that the woman judge was threatened.

If the court imposes further conditions on the case, it will be accepted. Imran Khan says in the affidavit that if the court is not satisfied with the facts he has conveyed, he is ready to take the necessary steps. However, the fact that there was no apology in the affidavit led to arrest proceedings.
