The Civil Guard has arrested in Almuñécar (Granada) a public defender who had a warrant from a Granada court, when he was providing legal assistance to a woman investigated as the alleged perpetrator of a scam.
According to sources from the Civil Guard have confirmed to EFE, the arrest was carried out by the Grupo Arroba de Motril (Granada), dedicated to the fight against cybercrime, when it was investigating a possible scam committed by a woman from Almuñécar who was arrested.
After requesting a court-appointed lawyer, who came to assist her, the agents verified that the lawyer was aware of an indictment issued by a court in Granada requesting his arrest and bringing him before the court for not having appeared at a request from this same court.
Once he attended the investigation for fraud, he was arrested and brought to justice, according to sources.
