Arrival in Morocco of the Belgian Prime Minister to co-chair the High Bilateral Joint Commission

On his arrival at Rabat-Salé airport at the head of a large government delegation and businessmen, Mr. De Croo was welcomed by the Minister of Justice, Abdellatif Ouahbi.

After reviewing a detachment from the First Air Base of the Royal Air Forces (1st BAFRA) which paid the honors, the Belgian Prime Minister was greeted by the governor of Salé, Omar Touimi, the mayor of Salé, Omar Sentissi, the the Moroccan ambassador to Belgium, Mohamed Ameur, and the Belgian ambassador to Rabat, Véronique Petit.

During this trip, the Belgian Prime Minister will have meetings with the Head of Government. Likewise, ministers accompanying Mr. De Croo will hold working sessions with their Moroccan counterparts, focusing mainly on subjects of common interest and means of strengthening bilateral cooperation.

This visit will be crowned by the signing of several conventions and cooperation agreements between the two countries in various fields.

The Belgian Prime Minister is accompanied, during this visit, by a delegation composed in particular of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice, Paul Van Tigchelt, the Minister of the Interior, Annelies Verlinden, the Minister of Foreign Affairs , Hadja Lahbib, the Secretary of State for Asylum and Migration, Nicole De Moor, the President of the Steering Committee at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Theodora Gentzis.

He is also accompanied by the Director General of the Foreigners’ Office, Freddy Roosemont, the Commissioner General of the Federal Police, Eric Snoeck, and a large delegation of businessmen who will take part in the Business Forum scheduled for Tuesday At Casablanca.
