The handicapper must be delighted since the first four of the fifth end in a pocket handkerchief, separated in less than half a length. Contested on the fiber sand track of Chantilly (Oise), this 1,600 m long handicap was won in a hard fight by Roberto Mount (#11). Introduced by Rodolphe Collet, this 5-year-old gelding followed in the wake of the animator, happy rock (n°8), as soon as the starting stalls opened before taking the best mid-straight. Well supported by his jockey, Marc Nobili, he was very courageous in the final phase and resisted the double attack of Dar Toungi (#3) and Chubby Boy (n°12), who finish on the same line and therefore share second place.
Excellent in his last three attempts and third last month at this level, Roberto Mount finds a just reward for his efforts by winning his first quinté for his ninth participation and allows his jockey to win for the fifth time at this level. After waiting a long time, Billabong Cat (n°4) finished in a pleasant action, but misses of only one head for the podium. At a distance from the leading quartet, the fifth is completed by Agapi Mia (n°14), which precedes The Nomad (#1) and Central Park West (n°10), certainly the good mark of this test.
