Arrival of the fifth : 7 – 12 – 3 – 9 – 4
Unlike some of the previous editions, notably last year, the Prix Roger Ledoyen was probably not made up of future leading horses. Competitors starting twenty-five meters ahead thus had a great opportunity to shine. And Gaia d’Occagnes (n° 7) did not hesitate to do so. Quickly installed in command by her driver, Léo Abrivard, she never allowed herself to be approached in the final phase to win with confidence.
Theoretical best chance of the second echelon, Edy du Pommereux (n° 12), like the winning favourite, held on after a pleasant straight to take second place. Although she enjoyed a good run in the wake of the heroine of the day, Elite d’Erable (No. 3) showed courage to retain third place at the expense of Jerome (n° 9), whose qualities are undeniable but which was not expected at such a party. The fifth came back in extremis Crack Trump (n° 4), which managed to beat Spy of Bouère (n° 1).
Kévin Romain and our Synthesis indicated the trifecta in the order in four horses while Stéphan Flourent proposed it in six horses. Tiercé disorder for Steavie Doussot and Halim Bouakkaz.
