Arsenal Clinches Thrilling Comeback Victory Over Leicester with Late Goals; Chelsea Shines in 4-2 Win

Arsenal played with fire at the Emirates but with two goals in injury time, they subdued the tough Leicester with a score of 4-2. Chelsea also scored four in a brilliant performance by Palmer, while Fulham secured a great away win against Nottingham.

Life and football go in circles, and Arsenal can attest to that. Just a week earlier, they were a breath away from a huge away win against Manchester City, only to miss out in the 90+8′ when Stones made it 2-2, with the two points lost at the Etihad finally arriving with… a delay.

The proof was the home match against Leicester on Saturday afternoon (28/9) as part of the 6th matchday of the Premier League, where the Gunners were at serious risk of a big loss after seeing their 2-0 lead turn into 2-2. However, the finale redeemed them as they found two goals from Trossard (90+4′) and Havertz (90+9′) to celebrate an impressive 4-2.

No one could have imagined that the match would turn into a thriller after the goals from Martinelli and Trossard in the first half, but Justin ignited the second half by scoring in the 47′ and 63′, after which goalkeeper Hermansen kept the game level until the 90th minute.

In the end, the numbers clearly indicated the superiority of the hosts, with Arsenal having 75% possession, 4.12 xgoals (0.27 for Leicester), 10 big chances, and 36 total attempts, with the Foxes’ keeper making 13 saves compared to just one from Raya.

Finally a win for Everton, first loss for Nottingham, record for Palmer

The same result as at the Emirates occurred in another match held in London on Saturday afternoon, with Chelsea defeating Brighton 4-2 having Cole Palmer as the absolute protagonist, who scored all of his team’s goals and became the first player to score 4 goals in the first half of a Premier League match.

At “City Ground,” Marco Silva’s Fulham showed their strong form this season as they prevailed 1-0 over Nottingham with a successful penalty from Jimenez, handing the Reds their first defeat in the league. Meanwhile, Everton not only celebrated their first three points—taking them out of the relegation zone—but did so with a comeback (2-1) against Crystal Palace.
