Arsenal chief Mikel Arteta had to watch as center-back Gabriel was injured shortly after the start of the second half. The Brazilian tried to continue the match after receiving treatment, but the defensive star ultimately had to throw in the towel.

Arsenal led both 1-0 and 2-1 in Sunday’s match, but the London club ultimately had to settle for a 2-2 draw. They remain four points behind Liverpool. League leaders Manchester City are a further point ahead.

Just under ten minutes into the match, Saka was played through along the right flank. The English star fooled Andy Robertson with a single touch before he hammered the hosts ahead with a quick finish. With this, Saka became the youngest Arsenal player to reach 50 goals in Premier League history.

– The best news for Arsenal was that Saka was fit for this match. It is an excellent run and a classic goal, said Viaplay expert Jan Åge Fjørtoft.

– He was the best player on the pitch in the first half. Arteta and Arsenal can thank the gods that he was fit to play. He has been outstanding, added Nils Johan Semb.

After just over a quarter of an hour, Virgil van Dijk equalized with a header.

Just before halftime, Declan Rice found Spanish player Mikel Merino with a well-taken freekick, and the new signing converted the ball into the net with a splendid header.

– That is a dead-ball goal of the highest quality, said Viaplay expert Semb.

Ten minutes before the end, Mohamed Salah scored and salvaged a point for Liverpool.
