Arsenal midfielder and Ghanaian player Thomas Party has converted to Islam. He reportedly converted to Islam after months of study. Connor Hum, a sports journalist in the UK, published Thomas’ conversion to Islam. The 28-year-old midfielder left Spanish club Atletico Madrid in 2020 to join English club Arsene Wenger. He played 57 games for the Gunners, scoring two goals.
Meanwhile, the Thomas Party is preparing to join the Ghana team that will play in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Nigeria. The match will be played on March 25 and 28 in two quarters.
Earlier this month, Dutch football legend Clarence Seidorf also converted to Islam. The 45-year-old, who has played for AC Milan, Real Madrid and Ajax, has been widely linked to Islam.
