Arshida Ali from Madhya Pradesh Takes Kerala by Storm with Oppanapattu Performance

The crowd at the Malappuram Kondotty EMEA HSS was in for a surprise when Arshida Ali, a girl from Madhya Pradesh, took the stage with her mesmerizing performance of Oppanapattu, a signature song from Monchulla Manavati’s friends. Arshida, a student of Plus Two Humanities Journalism batch, delivered a flawless performance, singing with a perfect accent and capturing the essence of Malayalam and Oppana.

Originally from Bhopal, Arshida moved to Kerala with her family 15 years ago, and she has fully embraced the state’s culture and language. “Father Kurban Ali came to Kerala for work 15 years ago. I was also coming after my elder brother Rashid Ali was brought here as part of his treatment. Family members, teachers and friends have full support for Oppana and Patti,” Arshida shared with Manorama Online.

Arshida’s performance also featured her classmates Adeeba and Fatima Nahna, who accompanied her on stage. The team received an A grade for their confident and engaging performance, impressing the audience and judges alike. The composition and training for the performance were provided by Munir Pallikal, and Minister K.N. Balagopal congratulated Arshida and her team for their outstanding performance.

With her impeccable Malayalam accent and captivating performance, Arshida Ali has gained recognition and applause from the audience, cementing her place as a rising star in Kerala’s cultural scene.
