Banksy. world star. Phantom. art genius. Many consider him the Picasso of modern times. But for over 20 years no one has known who it really is. Man? Woman? artist collective? Now there’s a video of a gentleman in a bowler hat and lots of rumours. Could that be the mysterious Banksy? At least that’s what the reports „New York Post“.
The exciting history. Sprayed last week Banksy a farmhouse in Herne Bay in the English county of Kent. A typical Banksy. A young. A cat. Two curtains.
It is said, sorry, it was called “Morning is Broken”. Because unfortunately the demolition of the building was already planned. An unsuspecting excavator driver got started.
Banksy posted on his Instagram-Account three photos: the picturesque little house before, its work of art and the ruins afterwards. Since then, experts have been advising whether the picture could perhaps be reconstructed from the rubble.
Days later, a mysterious man in a bowler and sunglasses appeared at the site fence, chatted with the construction workers and took more photos of the ruins. A TV crew spotted and filmed him.
Can this really be Banksy? Would be double bad luck. But it’s not very likely. More like another Banksy action. Or a fake from overzealous fans.
