China is intensifying its efforts to regulate the industry artificial intelligence. The Cyberspace Administration and six other government agencies issued regulations in early July to encourage the application of AI technology generative in various industries, which came into force on August 15.
The new rules are intended better balance state control over the technology by AI with the promotion of the competitive advantage of Chinese companies in the sector around the world. The regulation is also expected to offer more opportunities to national software manufacturers, especially in the development of large models and their application throughout the industrial chain.
