Samsung intends to begin requiring payment for access to some functions of the Galaxy AI system from 2025. As Day.Az reports, the GSMArena portal reports this.

It is noted that all currently available Galaxy AI functions in compatible devices are offered free of charge. However, one of the footnotes in the official press release of the new Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 tablets and the Galaxy S24 FE smartphone directly states that in the future some of the features will be paid.

“Charges may be introduced for certain artificial intelligence functions at the end of 2025,” the document says. Exactly what features will be paid and how much access to them will cost has not yet been specified. It has also not yet been clarified how access to all functions will be distributed – in a subscription package or by paying for each mode separately.

It remains unknown how Samsung intends to charge Russian users. The Galaxy AI artificial intelligence works without problems in the Russian Federation, however, due to the lack of Visa and MasterCard on the market, there is no way to pay for access to the AI. It is possible that this problem will be solved through intermediaries represented by domestic cellular operators.
