In November 2022 ChatGPT burst into our lives. And from minute one the Mallorcan José Manuel Raya, lawyer and social graduatehe saw it clearly: the artificial intelligence generative was going to change everything. He saw his potential (for all professional fields, but especially for his own) and understood that he had to join as soon as possible. Now, just over a year later, DMS Legal firm finalizes the launch of a specific tool to use this AI in the field of labor law.

Ialaboral.com, created from the options it offers OpenaAI, the company responsible for ChatGPT, is pioneer and unique in the entire state. Raya explains that after having been using it internally for some time now, once they have considered that it was well polished, they are now offering it to colleagues to try it and give them their opinion. They hope to be able to market it before March among law firms, consultancies, agencies, unions, mutual societies, human resources departments…

What is it for? In addition to accelerating and being able to delegate to ‘it’ tasks related to internal organization, communication (such as automating the writing and sending of certain emails) and the use of other programs (such as Excel), this AI serves the legal professional to write resources easy: “We have presented written statements in court, as simple allegations, worded like this, without the need to change a comma”, says Raya, who in this sense believes that AI can do the simple writing tasks that were previously entrusted, based on a model, to a ‘junior’ or intern at the law firm. Of course, she warns, human supervision is necessary: There are already cases of lawyers, in Spain and the US, who have been sanctioned or whose cases have been dismissed for using texts written with IA with errors (for example, based on non-existent jurisprudence).
