The lever of change or a tsunami that will destroy everything? The debate about the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the labor market becomes more extensive and complex with each advance of this revolutionary technology. Although experts prefer to talk about transformation rather than job creation or destruction, workers’ fear that a robot or a set of algorithms contained in a computer could take away their jobs is growing by the moment, backed by automation and process optimization. experienced by sectors such as industry, logistics, finance, security or the Human Resources department. In this last field, Artificial Intelligence is already banishing paperwork and emails thanks to its ability to analyze large amounts of data and speed up selection processes. At the forefront of this innovation is Viterbit, a Spanish startup that has developed the most advanced recruitment technology on the market.

Viterbit, created in January 2021 by Dimitri Nicolau, Marcos Gómez and Ariel Gutiérrez, is an advanced talent selection and management software with Artificial Intelligence that offers 100% customizable functionalities in three areas: process management, talent attraction and reports on the impact of recruiting decisions on the business. Among its most recent innovations is the possibility of summarizing resumes in tweets, matching with the perfect candidate like on Tinder, and managing selection processes directly with WhatsApp.

In the middle of the year, Viterbit launched its integration with ChatGPT in the Talent Assistant tool: a virtual assistant with multiple Artificial Intelligence functionalities for personnel selection. The Al Talent Assistant has the ability to read resumes and any other type of document and extract the relevant information in tweet format to speed up the analysis and screening process. In addition, since it can understand different texts, it also allows reverse engineering. This is very useful for companies that are dedicated to recruiting for third parties. Previously, they had to manually adapt all the CVs they received to their own format to present it to the client, but now the Viterbit assistant is capable of standardizing the texts to the indicated format in less than 30 milliseconds.

This technology also allows offers to be written automatically, only indicating the required skills and the tone of the writing. Likewise, create personalized emails to offer feedback to discarded candidates. On the other hand, the Talent Matcher finds within the company’s database the candidates most compatible with the job offer launched, scoring them and ordering them according to how they fit the position to make a “match” quickly and easily. All this allows you to select the ideal candidate 50% faster.

This same month the brand has presented the first integration of recruitment software with WhatsApp to reach all types of profiles, including the least digitalized ones. This innovation allows candidates to apply for a job through WhatsApp and companies to launch campaigns and keep applicants updated throughout the selection process. As? “They join the brand’s talent section and when a position compatible with their profile appears, a notification is automatically sent to them as a campaign. Today there is nothing like this in our market,” explains Dimitri Nicolau, co-founder and CEO of Viterbit.

Given all these advances, the doubt that invades HR workers is: will AI put an end to this department? “Switch to. It will change procedures, it will change structures and it will change companies. It will just be different. We are not going to disappear. There will be roles that may not make sense, such as, for example, that of an information recorder, a person who is simply dedicated to transferring data from resumes to Excel manually, but mainly it will transform the way we work. That does not mean that it is going to replace us,” Nicolau defends.

Viterbit currently has 34 workers and 250 clients in Spain and Mexico, the latter a market where it will continue to expand and the firm will announce its arrival in a new country at the end of the year. In October 2022, the company signed its first round of financing, of 1.6 million euros, to promote the development of new products and its CEO leaves the door open to a new round in 2024. Currently, the platform’s turnover exceeds one million euros.
