Quoc Tuan often takes on gentle and kind roles. His career was very successful, but in his personal life, Quoc Tuan got married quite late. At the age of 40, he got married and 2 years later gave birth to his first child, named Bom.
But the artist’s happiness in becoming a father Quoc Tuan not as perfect as others. As soon as he carried his first and only child out of the delivery room, everything inside him collapsed.

According to the doctor’s diagnosis, his son has Apert syndrome – a rare disease in the world. Apert syndrome causes skull and facial deformities, along with many other symptoms such as airway obstruction, mental retardation, and fusion of the bones of the fingers and feet.

At the age of 3, the actor took his child to Australia to have his skull loosened and then had nearly a dozen other major surgeries in many places around the world such as Korea, America… That healing journey has lasted until now, but The desperate difficulties of the early times have gradually receded into the past.
In a recent sharing with the media, when recalling the journey he has overcome, artist Quoc Tuan did not hide his feelings of suffering and deadlock.
“This is fate. Looking back, there was a time when I was in despair and extremely miserable. However, the light at the end of the tunnel still appeared. That was when Bom’s illness improved and progressed with help. The efforts of many friends and doctors,” he said in Dan Tri newspaper.
And in order to be able to treat his child’s illness, in addition to his mental health, the male artist also had to sell two houses in Dien Bien Phu and Giang Vo. Up to now, his son is a healthy and passionate young man, although he still needs to have many other surgeries, including cosmetic surgery.

Not only did he treat his child’s illness, but during that journey, artist Quoc Tuan also discovered and nurtured his child’s passion for music. Quoc Tuan’s son has loved the piano since he was young and his future dream is to become a famous pianist. With his father’s love and companionship in 2017, Bom entered the Hanoi Conservatory of Music (now the National Academy of Music).
In addition to studying, Quoc Tuan’s son diligently practices sports and helps his father with household chores. After nearly 20 years of giving up acting to accompany his child, artist Quoc Tuan began to return to small roles. In addition, he still writes scripts and directs short films to take care of the lives of father and son.
The male artist still hopes that when Bom undergoes surgery to change his appearance, his child will have a happier life and possibly have a home of his own.
