“With his professionalism and enthusiasm, David Cruz stood out with his work in the media. His talent, tireless dedication and his ability to adapt to different environments made him an exceptional journalist, who contributed to the transformation of El Salvador,” said Noticiero El Salvador, through its social networks, to honor the memory of the journalist, who was one of the victims who lost his life on September 8 in the plane crash that occurred in the canton of San Eduardo, Pasaquina, La Unión.
At a young age, Cruz had an extensive career in the media. He served as Head of Communications for the Security Cabinet and anchor of Noticiero El Salvador.
“The work of coordinating the communications of the Security Cabinet was a task that David Cruz always carried out with the conviction that even the bad news had to be reported to give credibility to the good news,” said the President of the Republic, Nayib Bukele.
The Head of State, together with the Security Cabinet, paid the Guard of Honour as a solemn act that symbolises the highest possible tribute that can be paid through the representation of the country. The President also presented the National Flag to the families of the heroes as a symbol of their sacrifice and the gratitude of an entire nation.
