As part of the project “Xalqın mədəni sərvəti” (Cultural Heritage of the People), organized for the first time by the Ganja State Philharmonic named after Fikret Amirov and the Ganja-Dashkesan Regional Department of Culture with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan, a concert was held dedicated to the work of the great Azerbaijani composer, People’s Artist of the USSR Gara Garayev, The press service of the Philharmonic told Day.Az.
The concert program was attended by students from schools in the city of Ganja – Children’s Music School No. 1 named after Fikret Amirov, Children’s Music School No. 3 named after Bulbul, Children’s Music School No. 4, Children’s Music School No. 5 named after Zarif Gayibov, Children’s Art School.
The main goal of the project is to promote classical examples of the musical art of Azerbaijan in the regions, educational activities in order to bring folk music to the general public and modern youth. As part of the project, a series of events are dedicated to prominent cultural and artistic figures.
