As part of the Days of Culture of Belarus in Azerbaijan, an exhibition of banners and works of folk craftsmen was held in the foyer of the Heydar Aliyev Palace in Baku, Day.Az reports with reference to Trend.
The culture and ancient traditions of Belarus aroused great interest among Baku residents and guests of the city; in addition to the exhibition, master classes were presented. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Ali Akhmedov, a delegation of Belarus led by Minister of Culture Anatoly Markevich, Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Adil Karimli, cultural and scientific figures, creative intelligentsia and youth, representatives of diplomatic missions.
Minister of Culture of Belarus Anatoly Markevich, in an interview with the media, noted the importance of holding the Country’s Culture Days in Azerbaijan, the presented vibrant program reflecting traditions, folklore, arts and crafts, cinema, art, music and dance.
“We came to Baku with a large delegation, full of ideas and plans for the implementation of very important joint projects in the field of culture of the two countries. We are proud that the Days of Culture of Belarus aroused great interest among residents. Thank you for your hospitality and very warm welcome. We will carry out important projects both in Azerbaijan and Belarus. And follow the path of implementing joint projects in the international arena. This will be a long-term program. I am confident that this will definitely succeed, since the creative potential of our colleagues from Azerbaijan and Belarus will allow the most ambitious plans. We are waiting for performers, artists, sculptors who will represent the beautiful country of Azerbaijan, its culture and art here in Belarus,” the minister noted, emphasizing that it is planned to hold Azerbaijani Culture Days in Belarus in the near future.
Working groups in the field of culture will also be formed, all directions will be worked out, and then all the best developments will be included in the roadmap for organizing work between the cultural spheres of Belarus and Azerbaijan.
