India has advised all its citizens not to travel to the neighboring country till further notice due to the ongoing violence in Bangladesh.

According to media reports, Sheikh Hasina left for India in a military helicopter. She and her sister have left the Prime Minister’s official residence for a safe place.

In response to the increasing violence, the army imposed a curfew in Dhaka and several other major cities and districts. This curfew has been imposed in the capital and other affected areas. Meanwhile, the government has announced a three-day holiday from Monday to Wednesday. Courts were also ordered to be closed indefinitely.

In view of the violence and deteriorating situation in Bangladesh, mobile internet services have been suspended.
