/ The management of Naft Al-Basra Club announced today, Tuesday, that it has officially contracted with coach Asaad Abdul Razzaq to lead Naft Al-Basra football, succeeding the resigned Abdul Wahab Abu Al-Hail.

Alaa Nayrouz, the manager of the Basra Oil team, told Shafak News Agency, “The administration met this afternoon and agreed with the coach Asaad Abdul Razzaq to lead the Basra Oil team for the remainder of the next season.”

He added, “The team will face the police team next Friday in a strong match led by the new coach, Asaad Abdul Razzaq, and that he will lead the team in the first training session.”

He pointed out that “the club, in agreement with the new coach, will attract new players in the winter transfers, and will witness a positive change with the aim of returning the team to its normal position and achieving positive results in the Iraqi Premier League.”

Naft Al-Wasat tied with Al-Minaa in the eleventh round of the Iraqi Premier League 1-1, and ranked 14th with 11 points after the end of 11 rounds of the league.
