Muscat: Reigning champions India got off to a winning start in the Asia Cup Women’s Hockey Tournament. The Indian women defeated Malaysia by 9 unanswered goals in the Pool A match of the tournament hosted by Oman. Vandana Kataria, Sharmila and Navneet Kaur scored doubles. Deep Grass Eka, Lalremsiami and Monica won the Orogol each. India will face Japan in their second match in the pool today. India can secure the semi-final if they win this match.
