The Indian team is participating in the Asian Badminton Mixed Teams Championship.
India has been placed in Group B along with Commonwealth champions Malaysia, United Arab Emirates and Kazakhstan in the tournament to be held in Dubai from 14 to 19.
India lost 3-1 to Malaysia in the mixed team category at the Commonwealth Games. Indian women’s former world champion P.V. Sindh, Aadhaar Single Division HS. Pranai, Lakshaya Sen, Chirak Shetty-Sadwik in doubles, Gayatri Gopichand and Treesa Jolly in women’s doubles, Ishaan Patnagar-Tanisha Krusto in mixed.
India exited in the quarter-finals in 2017 and in the group stage in 2019.
A total of 17 teams are divided into 4 divisions. The top two teams will qualify for the quarterfinals.
The team that wins 3 out of 5 games wins the game.
