/ Today, Thursday, at 2:30 pm, two matches were held in Group Five of the 2023 Asian Football Cup, which is currently taking place in Qatar.

The match between South Korea and Malaysia took place at Al Janoub Stadium and ended in a 3-3 draw.

The first half ended with the Korean team leading by one goal to none in the 21st minute through player Woo Young Jong. In the second half, the Malaysian team scored the equalizer in the 51st minute through Faisal Halim. Malaysia returned to score its second goal in the 62nd minute from a penalty kick successfully executed by player Arif Ayman Hanabi. In the 83rd minute, the Korean team scored the second equalizer through player Lee Kang-in. In the 90+4 minute, the Korean team scored its third goal from a penalty kick successfully executed by player Son Hum. The Malaysian team scored the equalizer in the 90+15 minute through Rommel Morales.

After this, the Korean team in Group Five raised its score to 5 points, and the Malaysian team, which came in last place, raised it to one point, leaving the tournament.

In the same group, the Bahraini team defeated its Jordanian counterpart by one goal to nil in the match that took place at Khalifa Stadium.

Bahrain’s only goal in the first half came through Abdullah Hilal in the 34th minute.

With this victory, the Bahraini team qualified for the round of 16, topping Group 5 with 6 points, leaving third place to Jordan with 4 points, which qualified for the round of 16 despite the loss as the best third-place team.
