The Indian team won 5 medals in the 14th Asian Lawn Bowl Championship held in Malaysia. It includes 1 gold, 3 silver and 1 bronze.
In the women’s force category, the team consisting of Nayanmoni Saikia, Lovely Choubey, Pinky Singh and Ruparani Tirgi stood first. Pinky Singh, Tania Chaudhary and Ruparani Tirgi team won silver in women’s triples.
Similarly, Lovely Choubey and Nayanmoni Saikia joined in women’s doubles and Pudul Sanwal also took 2nd place in men’s singles. In the Aadhaar Force category, the team consisting of Sunil Bahadur, Chandankumar Singh, Mritul Borgohain and Dinesh Kumar won the bronze medal.
