Doha: Before the World Cup kicks off, expatriates welcomed the campaign of the Bollywood Music Fest organized by the Supreme Committee and FIFA as a love gift for music lovers including Indians in Qatar. Thousands flocked to the pre-event organized by the ‘MediaOne’ channel at Grandmall Asian Town in association with the Supreme Committee and Qatar Tourism. The concert on Monday night was organized as part of the promotions for the Bollywood Music Fest to be held at Lucille Stadium on November 4.
Bollywood super singer Suniti Chauhan, keyboard, harmonium, piano and tabla duo Salim-Sulaiman and famous qawali-Hindustani music genius Rahat Fateh Ali Khan will perform at the Lusail Music Fest. Ticket sales for the event are in progress through the website www.fifa.com/tickets.
At the event held at Grand Mall Asian Town, famous singers from Qatar graced the stage to cover Sunita Chauhan’s songs. Gulf Media-MediaOne Executive Committee Chairman Rahim Omassery, Supreme Committee Representative Abhilash Nalapat and Grandmall Regional Director Ashraf Chirakal were present.
