Launched by the governor of the province, Youssef Kheir, and the president of the board of directors of the MGPAP, Moulay Brahim Othmani, this caravan has traveled since its launch on May 20 through several provinces in the south of the Kingdom (Tarfaya, Laâyoune, Boujdour , Es-Semara, Akhfenir, Tan-Tan and Guelmim).
This humanitarian action, initiated in coordination with the Ministry of Health and Social Protection and in partnership with the High Commission for former resistance fighters and former members of the liberation army under the sign “For a civic institution and medical security sustainable”, is part of the implementation of the proximity policy adopted by the MGPAP.
It is also part of the MGPAP’s commitment to supporting the royal projects aimed at the generalization of social protection and compulsory health coverage and the implementation of the five-year strategic plan 2021-2025 of this mutual institution.
This caravan, which will continue until June 10, includes the performance of medical examinations in several specialties including ophthalmology, urology, cardiology, dermatology, pediatrics, endocrinology as well as circumcision and of cataract.
Mr. Othmani declared to MAP that this caravan is part of the consecration of the spirit of mutuality, given the historical role played by the mutualist sector in strengthening social protection and medical coverage in Morocco.
He added that this caravan will offer several medical services in several specialties, specifying that more than 25,000 people have benefited from it since its launch in Tarfaya with a target of 30,000 beneficiaries during its last stage in Sidi Ifni (June 9).
