New Delhi: The third phase of polling for 117 assembly constituencies in Punjab and 59 assembly constituencies in Uttar Pradesh is underway today in the Assembly elections for five states.

All 117 Assembly constituencies in Punjab will go to the polls today (Sunday, February 20, 2022).

This election is a test of their ability to retain their place in politics in an environment where predicting who will win in the state of Punjab is an extraordinary one.

There has always been a five-node competition in a state known for deep social divisions.

The ruling party in this election is the Congress, BJP. There is fierce competition between the alliance and the Aam Aadmi Party. The Akali Dal party has joined hands with the Bahujan Samaj Party.

Chief Minister Saranjit Singh Sunny, Sidhu, Amarinder Singh, Prakash Singh Badal, Gulwant Singh and many others have entered the fray as prominent candidates.

1,304 candidates are contesting for 117 Assembly constituencies. 24 thousand 689 polling booths have been set up for the 2.14 crore eligible voters.

The third phase of polling for 59 assembly constituencies in 16 districts of Uttar Pradesh began today (February 20) at 7 am.

Voting will continue until 6 p.m. 2.15 crore voters will cast their ballots in the third phase of the polls. Today is the day to decide the fate of 627 candidates in the fray in the third phase of Uttar Pradesh state elections.

In the third phase of the Uttar Pradesh state elections, 627 candidates are in the fray in 59 assembly constituencies. In the third phase, out of 2.15 crore voters, 1.16 crore men, over 99.6 lakh women and 1,096 third gender voters are eligible to exercise their right to vote.
