“The development of whooping cough is not yet epidemiological, it is not developing at a serious pace. The affected schools in Sofia are a little more than five and less than 10 in number. There are quarantined classes, not many. We are waiting for a prescription from the RZI that it must to quarantine students”. This was said on BTV by the Acting Minister of Education and Science Prof. Galin Tsokov.
He explained that the National External Assessment for the 10th grade remains on the same date as planned – June 10. “We were prepared for this date. We made a preliminary analysis that it would be best to keep the date June 10, but start a little later than 11:00. The day is non-learning only for the students,” Prof. Tsokov explained.
According to him, the changes in the tasks in the matriculation examinations are related to a greater practical orientation, in order to be close to life and practice.
“Next year there will be a change for the 4th grade, for after the 7th grade. The curricula should be structured in such a way that they are really competency-oriented,” the minister added.
