Seeking a Key Player for Athletics Operations
This role is crucial for the smooth running of all Murray State University athletics events. The chosen candidate will dive deep into both ticket operations and annual giving initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Associate Athletics Director for External Relations and Strategic Initiatives, they will also take daily direction from two key figures: the Assistant AD for Revenue Generation & Ticket Operations and the Assistant AD for Development.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Assisting fans with ticket and parking purchases, renewals, and allocations for men’s basketball, football, and other events.
- Managing inbound ticket sales and spearheading outbound calls for group ticket sales.
- Overseeing game day ticket operations for both football and men’s basketball.
- Serving as the primary ticket contact for women’s basketball and other assigned sports.
- Supporting annual pledge renewals for Racer Club members and identifying prospects for higher giving levels.
- Assisting with premium sales processes and identifying new prospects.
- Collaborating with the revenue team to enhance donor engagement.
- Representing Murray State Athletics positively to donors, fans, and alumni.
- Supporting the daily operations of the Development and Ticket Offices.
- Being prepared to work all necessary sporting events across 15 varsity programs.
- Assisting with the preparation and execution of various events and stewardship initiatives.
- Greeting visitors and conducting facility tours as needed.
- Ensuring compliance with all NCAA, OVC, MVC, MVFC, and university rules and policies.
A Bachelor’s degree is required for this position. Candidates should also possess at least one year of relevant experience in customer service, ticket operations, sales, or development. The role may involve occasional nights and weekends, and the ability to stand for extended periods on game days is necessary.
