A conference dedicated to the competition of children’s drawings “Glorious pages in the history of the fraternal peoples of Russia and Belarus – we are the place” was held in the press center “MK”. During the conference, the International Space Station, where cosmonauts Sergei Prokopiev, Dmitry Petelin and Anna Kikina are currently working, was in direct contact with the press center.

The cosmonauts once again congratulated the planet Earth on the coming 2023 and answered the questions of young artists from Russia and Belarus.

When asked if there are cases when first aid is needed on board, the astronauts said that they cannot get sick with anything serious: “Before we go into space, we go through a lot of examinations and preparations, so only cuts, bruises and scratches can happen. But once, nevertheless, there was a case when our colleague needed dental care and he was given a filling. Everything went well.”

The astronauts also said that they do not dream of anything exotic – most often in a dream they see their earthly life in a circle of close people: “We are given 10 hours to sleep, but this rarely happens, because 6-7 hours are enough for us.”

As for the qualities necessary for joining the ranks of cosmonauts, the Russian ISS crew noted perseverance, diligence and perseverance: “And, of course, a cosmonaut studies a lot before going on a flight.”

At the end of the press conference, the cosmonauts paid tribute to the memory of the Soviet scientist and designer of rocket and space systems, Sergei Pavlovich Korolev.
