Asus Set to Release ROG Phone 8 at CES 2024
The highly anticipated release of the Asus ROG Phone 8 is set to take place at the CES 2024 exhibition in early January. The company has confirmed this news with the release of a teaser on its official social media accounts, featuring the inscription “ROG Phone 8” and a shadow of the device on a black background. The teaser also reveals a camera bump housing three cameras and an LED flash.
While Asus has not provided many details about the new phone, it is expected to be based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the latest Qualcomm chip that is also featured in the OnePlus 12 and Xiaomi 14. The ROG Phone 8 is also anticipated to come with the company’s unique gaming features, including touch buttons for games and strong vibration feedback.
The previous model, the ROG Phone 7, was released in April and features a secondary rear screen and an external cooling system with gaming buttons. It also includes a gaming interface called Game Genie, which allows players to change settings while playing.
