ASUS send us one of the new TUF motherbords oriented for the new processors INTEL of the 13th generation, and in this review we will see in detail each of the new features that this model brings us in particular.

This ASUS TUF GAMING B760-PLUS WIFI It comes protected by the classic yellow and black TUF aesthetic, showing its design on the front and its main features and technical specifications on the back.

In the box the manufacturer includes the following items

  • User’s Guide
  • Announcement of ASUS WebStorage
  • ASUS TUF Stickers
  • reliability certificate
  • 2 cables SATA III
  • Antenna WiFi – BT
  • Bolts and pads for M.2 drives

The colors black, gray and yellow accents are what first grab our attention on this motherboard. Its overall design is very similar to that seen in the previous generation, although with details that give it a more aggressive and modern look.

As we well know, this model has an LGA 1700 socket that supports the new Raptor Lake processors, that is, Intel’s 13th generation. But it is also possible to use the 12th generation processors if we wish.

In this particular model of B760, we find the 8-pin and 4-pin connectors to be able to supply enough power to our processor. This in order to be able to support Core i9 models without problem.

As for memory support, this board supports up to 192GB with speeds of 7200 Mhz in DDR5 under the Dual Channel configuration, which is usual in this range.

Taking a closer look at the expansion issue, we find 2 PCIe ports of which only the first x16 works with the PCIe 5.0 protocol and the second x4 in PCIe 4.0. We also find 2 PCIe x1 ports.

Removing the heatsinks we find the slots for M.2 drives, all of which support PCIe 4.0.

We also find the traditional SATA ports, which on this occasion are 4 available.

Regarding connectivity we have:

  • 1 x HDMI Port
  • 1 x DisplayPort
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2
  • 3 x USB 3.2 Gen 1
  • 1 x USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C
  • 1 x USB 2.0
  • 1 x LAN2.5Gb Ethernet
  • Wi-Fi 6E
  • optical audio connector
  • 5 x Audio Jack

For the comparison we will use the average of the previous platforms that we have reviewed. On the component side we will use Kingston memories, SSD from WD, NVIDIA graphics card, and ASUS power supply. Everything is detailed below:

CINEBENCH R23

Next, we will use the Cinebench Software created by Maxon, which is highly recognized in the film world since it is also used to create 3D content. This test is based on the CPU that saturates our processor. The result is expressed in points, which means that the more the better.

BLENDER BENCHMARK

Although the ASUS TUF Gaming B760-PLUS WIFI It has quite interesting features such as support for PCIe 5.0 or Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, it also makes us wonder that it has an M.2 slot with support for PCIe 5.0 or perhaps more USB ports on the back.

But to a certain extent we can understand this due to the limitations of the B760 Chipset. It is also understood if we review the type of user that this segment points to. Additionally, support for DDR5 and its power phasing system will not allow you to make RAM or processor upgrades without a problem over time.

With an approximate price of 235 USD (at the time of writing this review), it places it as a recommended alternative with good design, features and, above all, with the support of the manufacturer for all those looking to build a new gaming equipment.
