At the end of a police chase: Weapons smuggling in the Beit She’an area was thwarted today (Friday), and three suspects in their 20s and 30s were apprehended and arrested by the special units of the police and the IDF. This is when they have 12 Kalashnikov-type weapons.

The Southern District Police Protection Unit has launched an undercover investigation that has tracked down three suspects, residents of the village of Trabin and the southern Hebron Mountains. They were driving two separate vehicles, and after IDF observations identified the suspicious vehicles, a chase ensued and they were eventually captured and arrested.

This seizure is worth about NIS 800,000, and is defined by the police as another success in the operation to locate the sources of illegal weapons in the Arab sector.
