from Anna Paola Merone

Naples offers a winning cultural heritage management model and receives an award from Bocconi for distinguishing itself in the protection of art and in incisive and successful patronage actions. Protagonist and prophet of these enhancement processes Giovanni Lombardi, president and founder of Tecno – a company that offers consultancy to companies to develop sustainable and digital business systems – who chairman of the Advisory Board of the Capodimonte museum and wood.

Identification

The award that he will receive in Milan tomorrow refers to an incessant action of recovery and support of the Italian cultural heritage through his company, which has promoted exhibitions in Capodimonte such as the one dedicated to Picasso and Caravaggio, and supported the Italian Stock Exchange Revelations project which has allowed the restoration of works including that of Titian, who welcomed the delegations for the first meeting of the ministers of culture of the G20 in July in Rome. And, among others, it gave life to projects for the Catacombs of San Gennaro and for the San Carlo. The Aret Arte e Cultura Banca Generali special prize – awarded to companies that have distinguished themselves in the field of patronage and for supporting cultural heritage – will be awarded to the Neapolitan entrepreneur during its 17th edition at the CSR and Innovation Exhibition Social in Bocconi University. The role of businesses, as well as that of finance – says Alessandro Mauri of Banca Generali – is fundamental in the processes of enhancing the immense Italian cultural heritage. It is no coincidence that Banca Generali is involved at the forefront and in many initiatives in the area. This is why we wanted to establish the Aret Special Award for Art and Culture. We examined and shared the recommendation of the scientific committee for Giovanni Lombardi’s Tecno company and appreciated the concreteness and constancy in support of the artistic and historical activities that are an expression of the great city of Naples.

The strategy

Lombardi does not hide the satisfaction of receiving an award in Milan that rewards a business and enterprise model developed in Naples. We have implemented an articulated strategy to create a virtuous circle of patronage that is good for art and for companies themselves – he says -. We did it through different activities such as the adoption and restoration of some important works thanks to the constant support of important companies. We have once again made it clear that Naples has a lot to say on the heritage protection front and knows how to do it. And find ourselves in a setting that well represents the values of our really relevant company. We have always believed that a path of sustainability makes the company grow. And virtuous actions and paths and can do good for business, the environment, art. Finance has become the driving force behind sustainability processes in all fields, including ethics, in Banca Generali’s account. A reference that guided the jury of the award chaired by Enzo Argante: the philosopher Luciano Floridi, director of Ethic Lab Oxford University Alma Mater Research Institute for Human Centered Artificial Intelligence Bologna and the director of Forbes Alessandro Rossi are respectively at the helm of the technical jury and that of the press. During the event, the awards will also be given to the 2021 masters of responsibility: don Gino Rigoldi and Daria Illy.
