“He abused me mentally in the most vulgar and obscene way” Gianna Terzi revealed about her partner in Eurovision, while “bent” about her health adventure.
A guest on ERT’s “Studio 4” show was on the afternoon of Holy Tuesday (04/30) Gianna Terziwho spoke, among other things, about her experience from Eurovisionwhen she represented Greece in 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal, with the song “My Dream”, but also for her recent health adventure.
The singer and songwriter revealed that it was her dream to go to Eurovision, as she was a big fan since she was little. As he revealed, when he left Greece everything was going well. However, then a person from her group bullied her a lot.
“The song was going crazy. He had no complaints. He was abused by a responsible person in my group, where for his own reasons and personal vendettas he used his strongest means, loose and bound, to be abused and not to do well for Greece and the mission and me. It couldn’t be personal. Because I had just returned from America, I had no connection with the area. He mentally abused me in the most gross and obscene way“ described Gianna Terzi.
As he explained: “When the track started to take off and was doing really well, this particular person started making threatening phone calls to get me down. It created a climate of weakness and failure within the team. I had them everyday. I regret not coming out when I had to speak out about the abuse and bullying by this person. I ate so much that it took a toll on my mental and physical health. It’s the first time I’m saying it“.
“For so many years I said things around, that one thing happened, the other happened. No, nothing happened. It was all by the hand of that abusive man. On stage that night I was frozen. I was dying inside. I didn’t speak because it scared me. I was very scared. I didn’t ask for help. It wasn’t just me he was manipulating. Everyone” noted Gianna Terzi.
Gianna Terzi: “Bending” for her health problem
Speaking about her health adventure, the singer revealed: “I was in a wheelchair for a few months. At first it was very difficult. Recovery from the operation was very difficult and put me in a condition I never thought I would experience, disability. It was a tumor in the spinal cord and it is very rare that if it is successfully removed it does not leave you with any neurological problem. I could have been confined to a wheelchair or have some serious neurological problem.”
“He discovered it by accident. I had some back discomfort and I thought I had a problem with my lower back. When the doctor told me on the phone, I thought I was going to have a stroke. My father found out, after everything had gone well, months after the operation. The operation lasted 11 hours and I hid the date from my parents. The one who accompanied me was my brother. I wanted to protect them from all this” write down.
As he pointed out: “Most difficult of all was the recovery. I was preparing myself for life in a wheelchair. I got to know my body again from the beginning, I walked again from the beginning, I did everything from the beginning”.
“You’re in the four walls and you’re fighting your demons. The pains, that I don’t feel my body from the waist down. All this was excruciating. You are in a bed and you need someone to take you to the toilet, to bathe you. You have to look at your feet to send a message on the spot, get an order. My legs had no sensation. After three years, whatever work my nerves were meant to do, they did“ concluded Gianna Terzi.
