At least fourteen Eurostar trains were canceled on Saturday morning due to a track closure near London, announced the company. These cancellations, which occur during one of the busiest weekends of the year, will strand thousands of passengers.
According to the British agency PA, trains were canceled due to flooding of a tunnel in the south of England. Several British media, betting on an interruption of service all day, broadcast images of this tunnel located in Kent. On its website, Eurostar details the cancellation of fourteen journeys, the last leaving Paris-Gare du Nord at 11:12 a.m.
